Biography

I can't remember a time when I didn't love the act of drawing what was in front of me or creating what was in my own mind.  This driving force has been with me since I was very young.

After receiving my BFA in Fine Arts and then my MFA in Drawing and Painting, I taught college level students in the diciplines of life drawing, painting, conte drawing, and computer graphics, all the while pursuing and building my fine art and illustration career.

I was one of the artists represented by the prestigous Capricorn Galleries in the Washington DC area, owned and operated by the late Phillip Desind, a lover of drawings who was widely know throughout the artistic community for his superb, sought-after collection of contemporary drawings. I showed and sold work to major collectors throughout the United States, and was included in his exquisite traveling exhibition, "Comtemporary American Drawings."

My drawings and paintings are included in private, corporate and museum collections in the United States and abroad, and have been reproduced in the David P. Richards Northlight Book, "How to Discover Your Personal Painting Style" and the Artist and The Quest magazines.

My Illustration career has been equally as rich, I have done editorial work for magazines, newspapers, and ad agencies throughout the nation.

My art life is complete with my wife, a fine artist in her own right, and my daughter, who is a dancer.
